Fragile Balance

Every object tells a story, every detail whispers a dream or a frustration. These images embody the weight of everyday life: a visible burden made of symbols, tools, desires and constraints that mark the differences between Millennials and Gen Z. Two distinct generations, yet united by a constant tension: inhabiting a world that often refuses to listen to them.
The project does not only photograph bodies, but identities shaped by expectations and responsibilities.

Millennials, raised between promises of prosperity and broken certainties, carry objects that speak of the past and of the pursuit of a stable future. The globe, the books, the discipline: traces of a system that taught them to chase an idea of success that is increasingly elusive, worn down by an economy that uses them and then discards them.
Gen Z, on the other hand, moves within a silent rebellion. Their burdens are fluid and unstable: colorful dreams, irony, fragments of identity. A vivid and discontinuous aesthetic that conceals a deep need to be understood, to find a place in a world saturated with images, objects and expectations.

The two figures become living metaphors. The objects, suspended in a precarious balance, reflect the complexity of their lives. These are bodies shaped by a system that accumulates goods while consuming meaning, that fills and empties at the same time. The weight is not only material, but emotional made of expectations, failures, desires and misunderstandings.
Yet within this tension, a form of resistance emerges. Every chosen object, every constructed balance, becomes a gesture of awareness. Despite the burden, these figures continue to exist, to search, to redefine their space.
In a world that demands speed, productivity and performance, Millennials and Gen Z are confronted with the need to renegotiate their place. They are not only victims of a system, but subjects who, through fragility and contradiction, attempt to transform it.

This project is not only a portrait of the weight of everyday life. It is an investigation into how two generations amplify and layer their own light, desires and commitments, in an attempt to coexist and resist within a complex and unstable contemporary society.
